Instant Pot Beef Pho
Instant Pot Beef Pho makes everyone's favorite classic Vietnamese soup recipe so easy to make at home!
- 4 inches fresh ginger - 1 onion - 2 lbs. beef soup bones - 1 lb. flank steak - 1-2 star anise pods - 2-3 cloves garlic - 1 tbsp. cardamom pods - 1-2 cinnamon sticks - 1 tbsp. coriander seeds
Ingredients
- 2 tsp. brown sugar - 2 tbsp. vegetable oil - 2-3 tbsp. fish sauce - 5-6 tbsp. soy sauce - 12 oz. rice noodles - Bean sprouts - Fresh lime juice
Toast spices.

Toast star anise pods, cloves, cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks, and coriander seeds in a frying pan.
Sauté.

Heat vegetable oil in your Instant Pot on sauté mode. Cook ginger and onion for 2-3 minutes.
Add beef.

Switch off sauté mode. Add in toasted spices and stir well. Add in beef soup bones and flank steak.
Pressure cook.

Fill with water, just under the max line. Close lid and pressure cook on high pressure for 90 minutes.
Almost done.

Remove steak and slice. Pass the broth through a sieve to remove the spices and any pieces from the beef bones.
Season broth.

Season the broth with fish sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Taste and season with salt.
Serve and enjoy!

Dish the broth out into bowls and garnish with rice noodles, lime juice, beef slices, bean sprouts, basil, mint, scallions, and jalapeños as you prefer.
