  • Add brown sugar, sweet Spanish paprika, ground black pepper, garlic powder, and sea salt to a bowl.

  • Mix thoroughly until fully combined. If storing for later use, add to an airtight container such as a jar and store in a cool, dry place.

  • Brush roast beef with olive oil, then sprinkle seasoning over top (use 2 Tablespoons of seasoning per pound of beef). Pat down to encrust the beef with seasoning. Cook, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to use sweet Spanish paprika, not smoked paprika, for best flavor results.
  • Brown sugar typically lasts about 18 months when properly stored, so you can count on your roast beef seasoning lasting at least that long stored in a cool, dry place in an airtight container.
  • If you want, you can leave out the paprika and use a mix of other herbs, such as thyme and oregano. This will produce a more herbaceous sweet flavor.
