Beef Bolognese Sauce

How to make

Seasoned ground beef cooked in a hearty bolognese ragu served over thick pappardelle pasta, ready to cook with just 20 minutes of prep!

Ingredients

unsalted butter onion carrots celery  garlic  tomato paste pancetta  ground beef ground pork dry white wine

Ingredients

whole milk low-sodium stock chicken whole tomatoes  bay leaves flat leaf parsley  kosher salt black pepper  pappardelle pasta

Melt butter in a pot or dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add carrot, onion, celery, garlic, tomato paste, and salt.

Saute, stirring frequently. Add pancetta, stirring frequently, and continue to cook until the vegetables are soft.

Add beef and pork a third at a time. Cook, stirring frequently, until meat is browned.

Deglaze the pot with wine. Scrape up brown bits from the bottom. Add milk, broth, tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.

In the final few minutes of cook time, prepare the pappardelle pasta according to package instructions.

Turn heat to lowest setting and simmer, adding bay leaves and parsley. Simmer, half-covered, for four hours, stirring occasionally.

Step 6

Once four hours is up, remove bay leaves. Serve with parmesan and enjoy!
