thick-cut ribeye steak coarse kosher salt cracked black pepper thyme sprigs garlic cloves butter


Preheat oven to 450°F. Place an iron pan into the oven. Season steaks with salt and pepper. 

Step 1


When the oven is heated, remove skillet and place on the stovetop over medium heat.

Step 2


Place steak in the skillet and sear on each side. Top with garlic and thyme, and place the skillet back in the oven for 6-7 minutes.

Step 3


Remove from oven and place it back on the stovetop. Flip  and top with butter.

Step 4


Tilt pan to pour the melted butter, garlic, and thyme over the steak for 3 minutes.

Step 5


Allow to rest for 10 minutes. Cut against the grain for best results. Enjoy!
