  • 4 Bone-in Pork Chops
  • ½ cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup Italian panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 2 Eggs

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F, then spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and set aside. In a small bowl, combine both types of breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese, and mix until evenly combined.
    ½ cup Italian breadcrumbs, ½ cup Italian panko breadcrumbs, ½ cup Parmesan cheese, 1 Tablespoon Garlic powder
  • In a shallow dish large enough for the pork chops, whisk the eggs with a fork.

  • Dip each pork chop into the eggs until coated on all sides.
    4 Bone-in Pork Chops
  • Dip the egg-coated pork chops into the breadcrumbs, pressing more coating on with your hands until all sides are completely covered.
  • Place the breaded pork chops on to the greased baking sheet.
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake until the breadcrumbs are golden brown and the internal temperature of each pork chop is 145°F, approximately 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes, then serve!

Notes

  • Pork chops are naturally tender, so they don't benefit from low and slow cooking. Make sure to cook them at a high temp to caramelize the pork chops and lock in those juices!
  • Keep a careful eye on the temperature of the pork chops, and check them regularly with a meat thermometer once they get close to 145°F. Pull them out as soon as they reach it so they don't overcook and get tough.
  • I'm a big fan of simple Italian breadcrumbs for these oven roasted pork chops, but there are so many great ways to season pork chops! Feel free to make your own, or try my herb-crusted pork seasoning or a classic sweet and spicy pork rub!
