Instructions

Pulled Pork Instructions

  • Mix BBQ sauce, beef broth, and brown sugar together in a bowl, then add in garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir to thoroughly combine.
1.5 cup BBQ Sauce, 1 cup beef broth, ½ cup brown sugar, 1 Tablespoon garlic powder, 1 Tablespoon paprika, 1 teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Add pork loin roast to the slow cooker. Cover with the BBQ sauce mixture.
    2.5 pounds pork loin roast
  • Cook on High for 4 hours. Turn 2 to 3 times while the pork cooks to ensure it cooks evenly. When you turn it, begin shredding the pork by pulling it apart with 2 forks.
  • After 4 hours, turn the slow cooker to Low and cook another 45 minutes until most of the juice absorbs and the pork shreds easily. Remove fat from the pork with tongs, and set aside to dispose.

Coleslaw Instructions

  • Add the coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper into a large bowl.
½ bag Coleslaw mix, ½ cup Mayonnaise, 1 Tablespoon Apple cider vinegar, 1 Tablespoon Sugar, ¼ teaspoon Salt, ¼ teaspoon Pepper
  • Toss until fully combined.
  • Refrigerate for 3-5 days or serve immediately on sandwiches!

Sandwich Instructions

  • Spoon about 4 Tabelspoons of pulled pork on to the bottom slice of each Brioche bun.
1 cup Pulled pork, 4 Brioche buns
  • Top with coleslaw to taste- I like about 2 Tablespoons.
    ½ cup Coleslaw
  • Sprinkle with extra BBQ sauce, add the top buns, and serve!
    ¼ cup BBQ sauce

Notes

  • Pulled pork sandwiches can be as complex or simple as you'd like! Make the pulled pork yourself with homemade BBQ, or use store bought.
  • You can use more than just pulled pork. I love making these sandwiches with my own BBQ sauce and leftover shredded chicken or beef when I don't have any pulled pork on hand!
  • Try adding more toppings like sharp cheddar, teriyaki sauce, pickles, pickled red onion, or my secret favorite, pickled asparagus!
  • Wrap the sandwiches in foil and reheat them in the oven for perfectly toasty and warm leftovers!
