Air Fried Bacon Ingredients
- thick-cut bacon
- Olive oil
All you need to make air fried bacon is thick-cut bacon. You can season it if you like or use a flavored bacon. Thinner bacon may also be used, but reduce the cook time by 2 minutes. The oil is simply to prep the air fryer.
How to Air Fry Bacon
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Brush your air fryer tray or basket lightly with olive oil, then place the bacon in an even layer.
- Cook for 10 minutes, checking halfway through at the 5 minute mark to see if the bacon is cooking evenly. Serve, and enjoy!
Storing Air Fried Bacon
- Refrigerator: Store any air fried bacon slices in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the fridge.
- Freezer: Freeze any leftover bacon in a freezer-safe storage container for up to 5 months. Allow to thaw in the refrigerator once ready to enjoy.
Air Fryer Bacon Recipe Tips
- Make sure not to overcrowd your air fryer with multiple bacon slices. They should rest in an even layer and not overlap.
- For extra crispy bacon, flip your bacon halfway through.
- For soft, less crispy bacon, reduce air fry time by 2 minutes.
Air Fried Bacon FAQs
It is safe to put raw bacon in an air fryer as long as the bacon is cooked to the proper temperature, and the machine is cleaned before and after using.
Thick-cut bacon takes about 10 minutes to cook in the air fryer, whereas thinner sliced bacon takes about 8 minutes to cook.
