Best Burger Seasoning Recipe
My family and friends are always telling me I make the best burgers. I am literally "famous" for my burger recipes! It all comes down to one little secret... my hamburger seasoning. And I'm sharing it with you!
Yes, you can use salt and pepper and if you use great quality beef, simple seasoning still makes an amazing burger. But, once you try my burger seasoning mix... you won't want to make them any other way!
The trick to creating a good burger seasoning is to mix flavors for the most tender, juicy burger with a beautiful crust. That's what makes my mix the best burger seasoning recipe!
What do you season burgers with?
- salt
- black pepper
- paprika
- onion powder
- garlic powder
How to Season Burgers
Add your burger seasoning mix to an empty spice container or jar and label it. Store with your other seasonings!
It's better to season your burger as it's cooking so it develops a crust on the outside. Either season your patties just before grilling them but after forming the patties, or season while they're cooking on the grill or in a pan.

How many pounds of meat do you pair one batch of the seasoning with? Seems like a lot of salt, I usually cook with 1 lb of beef when I make burgers. Looks like a great recipe!

Hi there! This recipe is for seasoning suitable for 1 pound of beef. This is a very tasty seasoning and will create a very flavorful burger. If you prefer a milder flavor, I would recommend starting with half of the seasoning.

Great seasoning! I mixed it in with the ground beef before grilling, and it was great. I will, however, cut the salt down by 1/2 tsp next time, as it was a little bit salty.
