Chorizo and Potatoes
As many of you know, I was born in Portugal. Even after coming to the US, I've tried to bring the food I grew up eating with me! Portuguese cuisine is dear to my heart and I love every chance to share this incredible food with the people I love.
This recipe for chorizo and potatoes is the perfect example! Unlike Mexican chorizo, Spanish and Portuguese chorizo comes in a hard salami-style log, perfect for slicing into rounds and roasting. It has incredible flavor and tastes amazing dipped in sauce. Trust me, pick some up and you'll be making this chorizo with potatoes recipe again!
So next time you're thinking of roasting small potatoes for dinner, or you're looking for easy chorizo recipes, try out this easy sheet pan recipe! This is one of my favorite pork chorizo recipes and my first thought when I'm wondering what to make with chorizo.

Recipes with Chorizo and Potatoes FAQs
Spanish and Mexican chorizo are two very different products! For the most part, Spanish chorizo (as well as Portuguese chorizo) refers to cured chorizo, which is a dry-cured pork log in the style of salami. Mexican chorizo refers to a sausage-like ground beef with heavy use of spices.
Potatoes with chorizo is an incredibly easy chorizo recipe! Just slice the potatoes and chorizo log into ¼-inch slices, toss them in olive oil and spices, and roast them for 45-50 minutes at 375°F. Add some lemon juice and green onions plus your favorite dipping sauce on the side, and it's done!
Chorizo and potatoes is a perfect side for any sort of main dish, but I love serving them alongside Peri Peri sauce and grilled chicken! I also highly recommend trying it with more Portuguese recipes like beef skewers, paella, or Empanadas.
