Air Fryer Breaded Pork Chops
Pork chops are a regular meal in my household - we have them nearly every week! Because we enjoy them so often, I love to come up with different ways of preparing and serving pork chop recipes for my family.
Pork chops in the air fryer are a hit at my house! You can flavor them however you like, so they're versatile, but I love to keep it simple with a seasoned breading mixture and sauce to serve them.
The best part about these air-fried pork chops is how few ingredients they take to make, and how little time. They're ready in just 16 minutes from prep to finish - it really could not be easier to make pork chops than to cook them in the air fryer!
Air Fryer Pork Chops Boneless Ingredients
- Boneless pork chops, ½-inch thick
- Seasoned panko breadcrumbs
- Grated parmesan cheese
- Paprika
- Garlic powder
- Eggs
- Salt and pepper
How to Air Fry Boneless Pork Chops
- Combine panko breadcrumbs with Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, and salt and pepper in a bowl. In a separate bowl, beat eggs.
- First, dip your pork chops in the eggs to coat them completely. Then, dip them in the breadcrumb mixture, dredging them completely by pressing them down to adhere the crumbs to the pork. Coat both sides and gently shake off any excess breading that didn't stick.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Let it preheat completely, then spray each side of your pork chops with cooking spray and arrange them in the air fryer basket. Don't overcrowd your air fryer - if you're making a large number of pork chops (more than 4), cook in batches.
- Cook for 5 minutes on the first side, then flip the pork chops and cook another 4-6 minutes until golden brown and crispy. The middle should reach an internal temperature of 140°F on a meat thermometer.
- Remove pork chops from the air fryer and allow them to rest 5 minutes before serving.
Breaded Pork Chops in Air Fryer Tips
- You can use frozen pork chops in this recipe. Allow them to defrost in the air fryer for 4-5 minutes at 380°F, then follow the recipe as instructed, or allow them to defrost in the refrigerator overnight before cooking.
- You can use bone-in pork chops to make air fryer breaded pork chops, but they require a longer cooking time. Cook for 6 minutes on one side and 6 minutes on the other until they reach an internal temperature of 140°F. If they are thicker than half an inch, they may require more time.
- You should always check the internal temperature of pork using a meat thermometer before serving.
- Allow the pork chops to rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.

Can I use bone-in pork chops?
You can air fry bone-in pork chops rather than boneless, but keep in mind the cooking time will increase. To prepare air fryer bone-in pork chops, cook them for 6 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F on a meat thermometer.
