How to Make a Tortilla Bowls in the Air Fryer

    1. Preheat your air fryer to 375℉. Place a large, heat-proof mixing bowl in the air fryer basket. Spray a tortilla with cooking spray and place it inside the bowl, molding it to the bowl. Allow for folds. Place a smaller mixing bowl on top of the tortilla to sandwich it between the bowls. taco salad tortilla shell in the air fryer

How much taco meat per person?

Per taco, the average person will need about 2 ounces of taco meat, plus other fillings. A taco bowl calls for slightly more - treat it as about 2 tacos, or 4 ounces of taco meat.

So, if you are serving a family of 4, you will need around 16 ounces of taco meat - 1 pound of ground beef. Follow this chart on how much taco meat per person for easy reference:

Number of People at the TableAmount of Taco Meat Needed
28 ounces or ½ pound taco meat
312 ounces or ¾ pound taco meat
416 ounces or 1 pound taco meat
520 ounces or 1¼ pounds taco meat
624 ounces or 1½ pounds taco meat
728 ounces or 1¾ pounds taco meat
832 ounces or 2 pounds taco meat

My crockpot taco meat recipe uses 3 pounds of taco meat, so it creates plenty for this taco bowl recipe with room for leftovers!
