- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 cup chopped green pepper (1 pepper)
- 1 cup chopped onion (1 medium onion)
- 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
- 1 lb. ground beef (80/20 recommended)
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 6 slices American cheese + extra to top dip with
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Set your Instant Pot to saute mode. Once hot, add 1 Tbsp. olive oil. When it heats and begins to shimmer, add 1 cup chopped green pepper and 1 cup chopped onion, as well as 1 Tbsp. minced garlic or garlic paste. Saute for 2-3 minutes or so.
- Add 1 lb. ground beef and stir, cooking until it browns.
- Once browned, add in 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce and then 1 Tbsp. flour. Stir to incorporate. Finally, season with 1 tsp. Italian seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.
- Set your Instant Pot to high pressure for 5 minutes. Once done, carefully quick release the pressure. We always do this holding a hand towel.
- Once done releasing pressure, open the lid and add in 6 slices of American cheese. Stir to incorporate until the ground beef mixture reaches a creamy consistency.
- Remove to an oven-safe dish and place under the oven broiler for just a couple of minutes to melt extra cheese over the top. Serve, and enjoy!
- Serve with kettle potato chips, potato wedges, toasted garlic bread, or even roasted peppers!
