Smoking Beef
Getting a smoker changed my beef game forever. If you know me, you know I'm a huge fan of beef! I've spent my whole life cooking it up in every way imaginable, so it was only a matter of time before I gave smoking it a try.
That first bite of smoked roast changed how I thought about cooking beef. With practically no effort at all, smoking beef roast is easy and makes some of the most flavorful, juicy beef I've ever tasted. After that, I started smoking everything!
And as it turns out, you really can smoke anything. From smoked beef ribs to smoked chuck roast, even the most challenging cuts of meat are easy in the smoker. So don't be afraid to try smoking a rump roast or making the best smoked burgers you've ever tasted: with my pellet smoker recipes, it's all a breeze!

Smoked Steak
Steak can be a hard cut of meat to cook right, and there's nothing more disappointing than an overcooked steak. That's why the smoker is such a perfect choice! Smoking steak cooks it nice and slow, melting the fat and leaving the meat pink and perfectly tender.

Smoked Beef FAQs
The great thing about smoking beef is that nearly every cut will turn out amazing smoked! I tend to prefer smoking larger, tougher pieces of meat like shoulder, as the low-and-slow method of cooking renders the fat and connective tissue soft and tender.
The best way to smoke beef is to do so over low heat and cook it for a long time! Typically, smoked beef recipes take no less than 4-5 hours, and this is for a reason: this low-and-slow cooking method renders the fat and tissues butter soft and unbelievably tender.
Fall-apart meat means it has been cooked for long enough that the connective tissue binding the fibers together begins to soften and melt. To get beef that tender, smoke the beef for a very long time at low temperatures- no less than 4-5 hours for a cut with low amounts of marbling.
All beef cuts are easy to smoke with the right instructions! Each of the recipes here is foolproof and beginner friendly. However, it may be a good idea to start with a cheaper cut of beef, just in case. I suggest a tri-tip!
