    Carne Asada Seasonings FAQ

What is carne asada seasoning made of?

Carne asada seasoning uses a simple blend of spices inspired by Mexican cuisine, as well as citrus juice for a marinade. Marinating carne asada beef allows it to become tender as well as seasoned, so including citrus juice is a great way to accompany the spice rub.

How do you use carne asada seasoning?

Add all ingredients for your carne asada marinade to a bag or container large enough to hold your cut of steak. Rest the steak in the marinade and toss to coat it completely. Allow it to marinate for at least 2 hours in the seasoning to soak up all the flavor.

Can you use carne asada seasoning on ground beef?

Carne asada seasoning is for more than just steak; you can also use this easy seasoning recipe for ground beef. I love making crockpot taco meat with my seasoning for carne asada. It is an excellent combination! Try serving it as tacos or over rice.

What does carne asada seasoning taste like?

Complete with a blend of spices inspired by Mexican cuisine as well as orange juice and lime juice, carne asada seasoning is filled with bold and bright flavors that complement natural beef flavor very well.

    Carne Asada Seasoning Ingredients

    • lime juice
    • orange juice
    • minced garlic
    • cumin
    • salt
    • pepper

I keep it simple with my carne asada seasoning recipe by using just six ingredients. Although I use fresh minced garlic and recommend it, you can also use garlic paste or dried garlic. If using granulated garlic powder, use ¾ teaspoon instead of 3 cloves.

How to Make Carne Asada Seasoning

    1. Place orange juice, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper in a plastic bag or container large enough to contain the meat you plan to marinate.
    2. Add meat to the container and toss to coat. If marinating skirt, flank, or sirloin steak, marinate for at least 2 hours, but less than 8.
    3. Alternatively, carne asada seasoning can be added to 1 lb. of ground beef! Mix through while cooking.
