How Long to Cook Burgers in the Air Fryer
I recommend cooking air fryer burgers at 360°F for 7 minutes on each side. This will give you a medium-rare burger. For burgers that are more cooked-through, add a couple of minutes to the cooking time on each side.
Burger Temperature
Doneness | Temperature | Appearance |
---|---|---|
Rare | 120-125°F | Bright reddish pink throughout |
Medium-rare | 130-135°F | Pink throughout |
Medium | 140-145°F | Slightly pink at the center |
Medium-well | 150-155°F | Mostly brown throughout, with some pink |
Well-done | 150-155°F | Brown throughout |
For best results whether you like your burgers well done, medium-well, or medium-rare, use a meat thermometer to check for the temperatures below.
Please note, that the USDA advises the minimum safe internal temperature for ground beef is 160°F, or well done. Follow our guide on How Long to Cook Burgers for more info.

Air Fryer Burgers FAQs
Yes, you can make frozen burgers in the air fryer! You will need to cook them for a bit longer but can cook them straight from frozen patties. Cook for about 8 to 9 minutes on each side. Check the internal temperature, and if they need more time, put them back in for another minute or so.
I highly recommend flipping your burger in the air fryer to ensure the burger is cooked perfectly on each side

Hi April! It's calculating the carbs from the burger buns as well. Without those, it would be very low carb.
